Job Title: Public Relations Officer
Location: Spring Educational Society (SES) Leicester & Birmingham
Reports To: Trustees
Job Summary:
Spring Educational Society is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Public Relations Officer. This role is responsible for building and maintaining a positive image of SES, promoting programs and initiatives, and managing communications between the institution and the public. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with a passion for adult education and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
•Develop and implement effective communication strategies to promote adult education programs.
•Foster strong relationships with community leaders, partners, stakeholders, and media outlets.
•Organize and promote events, workshops, and public awareness campaigns.
•Prepare press releases, newsletters, brochures, and digital content tailored to the target audience.
•Act as the spokesperson during media interactions and public events.
•Monitor public perception and manage any communication crises with professionalism.
•Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
•Maintain a database of contacts, media coverage, and promotional materials.
•Gather feedback from students, staff, and the public to improve outreach strategies.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
•Experience in a public relations or communications role, preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting.
•Good verbal and written communication skills in both English and Turkish.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•Knowledge of adult education challenges and cultural sensitivities related to adult learners.
•Proficiency in social media platforms, Microsoft Office, and basic design tools is an advantage.
